Pegylated mechano-growth factor, an extended half-life analog of MGF — the IGF-1Ec splice variant generated in mechanically loaded skeletal muscle. Studied in preclinical work for satellite-cell activation, myoblast proliferation, and skeletal-muscle regeneration endpoints. PEGylation prolongs systemic exposure relative to native MGF in pharmacokinetic studies. For laboratory research use only.
Acts through a distinct E-domain-mediated mechanism independent of the IGF-1R, recruiting quiescent muscle satellite cells and promoting myogenic proliferation in vitro.
